Queer Stories from the Medieval is a collection of 5 digital pieces I created and then Risograph printed and hand illuminated. Along with this work I paired these prints with contemporary sources and understandings of these figures and stories in a handmade and hand bound book. My goal with this collection was to highlight queer histories, stories and identities and illuminate how we have always existed. By pairing this historical iconography with contemporary understanding and printmaking methods, I create a conversation and circle of history, understanding and identity.
